Right-o!

The rooms are clear (not clean, just clear... in readiness for the hosing down decent vacuuming they're going to get shortly).

The orange cake is in the oven. Made with oranges from our very own tree, IF you don't mind (soooo juicy, just miniature sized!). Two more oranges to use up, plus some lemons from our machine of a lemon tree, so next cake will be more a zesty citrus affair. I'll get that out in another hour or so.

Just finished a 30-minute internet workout (with the LGBB helping by gallantly passing me the hand weights each time it called for it).

Am soon going to embark on vegie-chopping for tonight's stir-fry pie - a delectable selection of sautéed veges (leeks, mushrooms, celery, zucchini) bunged in a pie dish lined with pastry, a few eggs cracked over the top, slash the yolks then crumble 200g-ish of goats' feta over the top before putting on your top layer of pastry.

And.... AND!!!  The cyclamen is still alive. And newly flowering, to boot. WHA'?! NNGhhghsfffl? How is that possible?

We're cookin' with Crisco here!

Meantime, about to play a game of hot-and-cold (the LGBB's latest fave), just because I haven't pressed the flesh enough with her today and she's been patiently waiting ever since getting home from kindy.

Yup. Gettin' back in the groove *squishing butt into the couch of life for the perfect comfortable fit, just like Homer Simpson*

Timely for Christmas

Hey! Got some pesky relo's coming over at Christmas time that seem to pull your strings and expect you to dance like their puppet?? Or/and those who somehow always manage to make you feel 2 foot small (or smaller) even in your own home?

You never know, they too could be "stuck" playing the role of someone they can't get out of.

If you are heading into this festive season absolutely dreading those family patterns that you mercifully manage to avoid the rest of the year and only have to "deal" with or get through that one day around Christmas with them... why not get an oil burner and put in a few drops of Lemon Myrtle essential oil?

Here is a rundown of this lovely oil's healing and supportive properties:

LEMON MYRTLE (Backhousia Citriodora)

Lemon Myrtle lifts and lightens dark and dusty dimensions of beings, places and spaces. Particularly when you find yourself bound somehow to past energetic constrictions and restrictions, which you may not exactly be aware have managed to affect you, yet you sense and feel that there is a crusty or dank energy attaching it to you. Lemon Myrtle relieves the plodding feeling when one is caught in the ploughing through to find the light in the congestion of being among too much or too many energies at one time. It highlights the causes and concerns of being caught up in genetic patterning of past disruption from family historical structures affecting your energetic wellbeing.

It assists in times of sifting and sorting through outmoded family energenetics that will be limiting or inhibiting your potential and spiritual growth and change. It lifts the spirits of the worn out and the weary and those beings who are seeking the brightness of seeing and sensing another positive day so that they can find inspiration to make change for themselves to move beyond the limitations of the past. The love that Lemon Myrtle gives off permeates the channels of the etheric, neuron and immune systems while opening all the senses of your being. Lemon Myrtle has the ability to disperse toxic release that has become built up in one’s etheric and physical systems. It is particularly effective when one is facing the need to treat the effects of viral intrusion or to simply ward off any such intrusion. It potently deals with those times when familial constrictions and restrictions have entered your patterning, causing viral, bacterial or fungal infections to enter.

Lemon Myrtle braces you when you feel yourself slipping back into the old way of toxic behavior. It assists to help catch your thinking in moments that once would have had you slipping into incorrect or inappropriate behaviour or communication. Lemon Myrtle lifts the positive into your thought processes. It assists and stalls incorrect behaviour. Burning Lemon Myrtle oil will bring in the Divine will of intent, allowing it to enter into all pathways of your senses and etheric patterning. This wonderful oil is the one which will support your ability to wonder anew and bring in newness to create and recreate again a better place and pathway for yourself. Bring this oil into your home space when going through the sifting, sorting and changing for a future new life and, at the same time, will also open you to your own new ‘home space’ within.

Winter Warmer

For a chest-warming hot drink that will draw out the nasties if you have a serious head cold, try this:

Juice of 1 lemon
Honey to taste
Boiling water
A few shakes of cayenne pepper

I actually find this concoction very soothing. I was only suggested it these past few months and it was really good, if not oh, about 2 years too late (as in, too little too late for the stuff I've had going on in Viral City, population... Me. I'm sorry. Was that overdone? I know. It was, wasn't it? Just a tad).

Just remember to keep giving the drink a little stir or swill, otherwise at the last mouthful, your eyes will bug out of your head like Bugs Bunny when he's strapped to the track and sees a train coming. ie. It's bloody h-h-h-hot.

Must. Stop. Reading. Bloggggs!!!!

But before I do (did), I am so glad I found this entry for Rainbow Cookies.

So excited now, I can hardly sit still. Isn't it ridiculous what a bit of colour and a chance to bake something easy will do to me? Which reminds me ... to soon share with you the ludicrously easy recipe for lemon curd that my sister in-law bestowed on me while they were visiting recently. Now I finally have something to do with our billion and one lemons! Perhaps I could donate jars of the stuff out front. Become known as the Lemon Curd Lady.

Ok, maybe not.

But anyway, I swear, if I make these cookies - and then if they turn out looking good and not, like, either something colourful from Jazz's rear end or something the LGBB mashed together - I will take a photo of how ours turned out and post it here.

But only, y'know, if.

Wanted: 101 Uses For Lemons

Oh my stars, if our tree bears any more, we're going to have a ball pit full of lemons to rival Ikea's.

Aside from piffing the rotten ones to the dogs and sniggering as they chase after them and realise they're not tennis balls, I'd like to know what the HELL I'm meant to do with all this fruit. All the usual recipes only use a snifter full of juice from one lemon. That's not enough to go through them all.

I can't even GIVE them away - even the people who took them willingly to begin with have enough from me now.

Anyone want any lemons? I ship to Canada and the US*

* Ok, I don't really. I'm silly but I'm not that silly.
